UMass finished up the 2012 cross country season on Saturday afternoon in Bronx, N.Y. The squad placed eighth of a total of 16 teams and was led by freshman Daniel Sheldon. Sheldon finished 21st overall out of 171 harriers and crossed the finish line at 26:48.6. This the freshman's first time finishing in the top spot for the Minutemen and has now finished top five in five of the seven races in which he's raced.
